iHire Product Update – August 2025
What’s new at iHire this month? In August 2025, we unveiled an AI-powered tool for scoring and optimizing job descriptions, enhancements to job posting analytics, an AI cover letter generator that allows candidates to tailor their cover letters for specific jobs, and more.
AI-Powered Job Description Scoring & Optimization
Unsure how to write a good job description? You can now take advantage of an AI-powered tool for scoring and optimizing your job ads based on best practices. The tool evaluates job postings on various criteria, such as structure, readability, skills, company culture, and salary information. It then provides feedback to help users improve their postings and attract more high-quality candidates.
To use our AI-powered job description scoring tool, select “Get my score” in the job posting flow. You’ll instantly receive feedback on how you can enhance your job description, such as by adding benefits information or company culture details. You can then adjust your posting with AI assistance or by manually editing your text.
Job Posting Analytics Enhancements
Iterating on our job posting analytics tools, we’ve enhanced job performance insights to give employers a deeper understanding of how well their postings are attracting the right candidates and enable them to identify areas for improvement. On the Analytics page, you can now view data visualizations of application completion rates and comparison metrics.
The completion rate visualizations show the progression of candidates as they move step-by-step through the application funnel. This information can help employers pinpoint where candidates drop off and adjust their application process to increase completions.
In addition, comparison metrics allow you to see how well your job ads perform relative to similar jobs posted on the same iHire talent communities. For example, if an employer is hiring an Account Executive on iHireSalesPeople, they can easily see how their completion rates stack up to all other job postings on iHireSalesPeople as well as postings for Account Executives, specifically.

One-Click AI Cover Letter Tool for Candidates
For candidates, creating compelling cover letters just got even easier. From the apply flow, job seekers can select “One-Click Cover Letter” button, and our AI tools will generate a cover letter based on the user’s resume and the job description. Job seekers can further customize the draft as needed before submitting their application.
This new feature benefits employers by increasing apply and completion rates, as there is less friction for applicants who may not have a ready-to-go cover letter or don’t know how to create a strong document. It can also lead to more high-quality applications, helping you better assess candidates’ fit.
Simplified Process for Adding Hiring Managers
Lastly, we’ve simplified the process for adding hiring managers to employer accounts. Involving fewer steps and clicks, the new process allows you to add a new hiring manager directly from the application page. Simply click “Add Hiring Manager,” input the manager’s details, and hit “Invite Team Member” to start collaborating.
