We are seeking a Senior Experience Designer, Construction AI, to help design AI-powered Assistant experiences across web and mobile within Autodesk Construction. This is an individual contributor role focused on translating AI capabilities, complex product architecture, and customer needs into clear, usable, and trustworthy product experiences.Reporting to the Director of Experience Design, you will partner closely with Design, Product, Engineering, Research, Data Science, and AI teams across the broader Autodesk organization. You will work on end-to-end product experiences, with a strong focus on the Construction Assistant, while contributing to broader AI experience direction, patterns, and consistency across teams.This role requires a designer who can work through ambiguity, understand how system behavior and product architecture affect the user experience, and bring clarity to complex interaction problems. You should be comfortable working in a fast-evolving AI space where capabilities, priorities, and customer expectations are still being shaped.
Travel: Quarterly travel, North America, India, Europe for team meetings, conferences, customer events.

Responsibilities
Design end-to-end AI-powered Assistant experiences across web and mobile within Autodesk Construction
Translate AI capabilities, system behaviors, product requirements, and customer needs into clear flows, interaction models, prototypes, and detailed product designs
Lead and contribute to key product experience areas from early exploration through execution, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on design craft
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Data Science, and AI teams to align on direction, understand technical constraints, and make informed product and experience tradeoffs
Collaborate with AI teams across Autodesk to support consistency, shared patterns, and coherent user experiences across related initiatives
Design experiences that help customers understand what the system is doing, guide or refine AI-generated outcomes, and build trust in AI-powered behavior
Identify usability gaps, workflow challenges, and opportunities to improve clarity, efficiency, and trust in Assistant experiences
Raise the quality of design execution through collaboration, critique, attention to detail, and strong cross-functional partnership
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of professional experience in UX design, product design or related field, with a strong portfolio demonstrating impact on complex digital products
Experience designing complex product experiences involving AI, automation, intelligent systems, data-rich workflows, or adaptive product behavior
Proven ability to design end-to-end product experiences across web and mobile surfaces
Deep experience translating complex user needs, product requirements, and system behaviors into intuitive, scalable interaction models
Strong design craft across interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and prototyping
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and influence experience decisions through clear rationale, prototyping, storytelling, and thoughtful stakeholder management
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with emerging AI capabilities in complex product environments where patterns, system behavior, and customer expectations are still being defined
Interest or background in AEC, construction technology, or complex project-based domains

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesks competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $69,900 and $137,500. Offers are based on the candidates experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package. Diversity & Belonging
