Title: Senior Application Systems Analyst and Designer

Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months Contract

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Application Systems Analyst and Designer to support the implementation of system enhancements and business process improvements. This role will be responsible for gathering requirements, designing application solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, and supporting testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product owners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams.
• Analyze business needs and translate them into functional and technical design specifications.
• Create and document design concepts, workflows, and proof-of-concept (POC) solutions.
• Design user interface components, including menus, tabs, widgets, navigation elements, and search functionality.
• Develop UI mockups, wireframes, and prototypes that clearly illustrate application functionality and user experience.
• Prepare and present design proposals, prototypes, and solution recommendations to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Refine application layouts and designs based on user feedback and usability considerations.
• Assist in creating and refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
• Develop test scenarios and participate in system, integration, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Collaborate closely with application development teams to ensure solutions align with business requirements and design specifications.
• Support the design, development, implementation, and validation of application enhancements.
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions, design reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet quality standards and business objectives.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and system requirements.
• Strong application design and user interface/user experience (UI/UX) skills.
• Experience creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA teams.
• Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities, including requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
• Experience supporting government, healthcare, benefits, eligibility, or social services programs is a plus.
