Salon Biology is looking for a passionate, motivated, and career-driven Assistant Stylist to work directly alongside the salon owner in a fast-paced, high-end environment in Westwood, Los Angeles.
This isn't just an assistant role. It's a structured one-year mentorship program designed to take the right candidate from assisting to owning their own chair on the salon floor. If you're serious about building a real career in the beauty industry, this is the kind of opportunity that doesn't come around often.
Schedule: Wednesday through Saturday
Compensation: $20$25 per hour (based on experience)
What You'll Be Doing:
Assisting the owner through all appointments and busy salon days
Shampooing, blow-drying, toner and color application, and client prep
Supporting daily salon operations and delivering an excellent client experience
Occasional house calls and on-location appointments
Assisting with salon social media, content creation, and marketing
Front desk support including scheduling, client communication, and general organization
Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional salon environment
Supporting photoshoots, events, and salon-related projects as needed
Learning advanced techniques, consultations, and client care directly from the owner
What We're Looking For:
A positive attitude and strong work ethic above everything else
Genuine passion for hair, beauty, wellness, and taking care of clients
Someone hungry to learn and be mentored, not just punch in and out
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable multitasking in a fast-moving environment
Social media experience is a real plus
Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented
At the end of the program, the goal is simple the right person walks out with their own chair, a growing clientele, and the skills to back it up.
