You will be the Mechanical Design Engineer for the SR GMLRS Missile & Pod team. Our group delivers high performance missile systems by maintaining and updating technical data packages, driving design releases, and solving production challenges for the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) and the Long Range Rocket Propelled Projectile (LCRRPR).
What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for producing and revising GD&T based drawings, performing stack tolerance analyses, and delivering complete technical data packages for SR GMLRS. Youll work side by side with senior design leads while quickly earning independence, collaborating across Stress Analysis, Materials & Processes, Test, Production, and senior Mechanical Engineering functions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Generate, review, and release 2D/3D mechanical designs and GD&T specifications for missile and pod subsystems.
Conduct stack tolerance and fit gap analyses to ensure manufacturability and performance.
Update and maintain the SR GMLRS technical data package in accordance with program milestones.
Partner with the Camden, AR manufacturing team and multiple U.S. suppliers to diagnose and resolve production issues.
Lead root cause investigations and develop corrective action plans that meet schedule and quality targets.
Coordinate with Stress Analysis, Materials, Test, and Production engineers to integrate multidisciplinary requirements.
Support senior lead Design Engineer with technical reviews, risk assessments, and design documentation.
Travel (~25%) to the Camden MFC and key supplier sites; maintain a hybrid work arrangement (50% telecommute) in Grand Prairie, TX.
Obtain or maintain MRBE authority as required for the program.

Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experienced in Model-Based Definition (MBD).
Experience with aerospace hardware such as structures, energetics, propulsion, or flight control systems.
Experience with Aprizo a plus.
Basis of Estimating (BOE) writing experience preferred but not required.
Control Account Manager (CAM) experience preferred but not required.
