  • Salary : $101,388 - $144,715, this role is eligible for an annual bonus.
  • Location : Remote, US near anyone of our Primo Brands Factories, preference for candidates located in the Central or West Coast regions.
  • Travel: Up to 50%
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, with flexibility based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage outside design consultants (cost, schedule, design standards)
  • Review new line and facility documentation: one-line diagrams, network architecture, control panel design, device layouts, sequence of operation, scopes of work.
  • Manage electrical design firm qualification, selection, and hiring (RFP process)
  • Manage electrical contractor qualification and hiring
  • Drive continuous cost and quality improvements in system designs and maintain up-to-date knowledge of leading-edge technologies that will support business needs
  • Maintain electrical and controls specifications
  • Negotiate purchase of electrical equipment (Switchgear, PDP’s, PLC controls)
  • Assist project management with design solutions for field issues
  • This is a functional leadership position that interacts closely and supports Operations, Quality Assurance, Innovation & Renovation, Marketing, and Logistics with electrical system design and optimization
  • Must be capable of managing outside firms to meet obligations of executing all assigned projects
  • Must be capable of leverage technical expertise in support of factory operation for system optimization and troubleshooting
  • The Design Manager reports directly to the Engineering Group Manager – Facilities and Electrical and has a support responsibility to project managers
  • Travel: 50% (Could be as much as two days per week, three times per month, initially until system understanding is achieved)

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering/Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Requires strong Technical, Managerial, and Leadership ability with exceptional facilitation and communication skills.
  • 5 - 10 years’ experience implementing projects in a similar environment.
  • Highly motivated, well organized, goal oriented and capable of operating alone, with minimal direct supervision.
  • This position requires excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a team player and have strong abilities to lead and participate in project teams and be able to demonstrate capability in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be proficient in the use of common software platforms including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint) and AutoCAD for the preparation of presentation and working documents.
  • Working knowledge / development experience of Allen Bradley PLC code and Device-Net programming
  • Working knowledge / development experience of SCADA programming (GE Fanuc / Intellution and/or Wonderware)
  • Working knowledge of networks
