Account Manager, Communications - Hybrid

This is a client-facing account ownership role for a strategic communications leader who thrives in fast paced environments and is confident owning day to day client relationships. As an Account Manager, you'll lead or support communications account teams to manage our best-in-class strategic communications and executive social media programs.

What you'll do:

Account & client leadership

  • Own day-to-day client relationships for assigned executive communications accounts as the primary point of contact
  • Build and strengthen client partnerships through sound judgment, proactive communication, and clear recommendations
  • Contribute to client business growth by identifying new and creative opportunities

Strategy and integrated thinking

  • Shape integrated executive communications plans that connect tactical execution to client business objectives
  • Anticipate client needs, surface gaps, and translate insights into clear recommendations that advance client priorities
  • Conduct the research that informs planning: audience insights, competitive analysis, content audits, media and influencer mapping
  • Track campaign performance, pull insights, and recommend next steps to meet client goals

Content creation

  • Develop personalized leadership brand messaging and original content for executives: social copy, creative concepts, long-form articles, scripts, and talking points
  • Partner with creative and content teams to bring campaigns to life through briefs, brainstorms, content reviews, and strategic alignment
  • Stay fluent in social platforms, trends, and algorithm shifts, and apply that knowledge to sharpen content choices and platform strategy

Program and operational excellence

  • Run programs end-to-end from kickoff to reporting: timelines, deliverables, cross-team coordination, budget tracking, and forward momentum
  • Reinforce process, tools, and best practices to maintain consistent delivery quality across account teams

Collaboration and team leadership

  • Delegate across contributors to support execution and team efficiency, and coach junior teammates on delivery quality, communication, and account practices
  • Contribute to strong collaboration and inclusive team dynamics aligned with Delightful's principles and DEIA commitments

AI fluency and delivery

  • Use AI tools and agents to strengthen efficiency and content development, applying judgment, context, and nuance to ensure client voice, brand, and strategic goals alignment
  • Stay current on emerging AI practices and bring forward ways to apply them on accounts

What you'll have:

  • 5+ years of experience in executive communications, strategic communications, content marketing, PR, or integrated agency environments
  • Demonstrated ability to own and grow client accounts with confidence and strategic judgment
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to connect execution to business outcomes
  • Proven experience building trust with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities with clarity and composure
  • AI fluency and comfort applying AI tools thoughtfully within communications workflows
  • Agency experience strongly preferred

Remuneration and benefits

Salary and compensation range: $80,000 - $95,000 plus eligibility for a bonus

After successful completion of our 60-day probationary period all regular full-time employees are eligible for the following:

  • 13 annual paid holidays, annual allocation of 4-weeks paid vacation & 52-hours of paid sick leave
