Interior Designer - Workplace / Furniture Focus
Summary
A highly reputable, award-winning commercial furniture dealer in Seattle is seeking a Workplace Interior Designer to support a high-volume corporate account. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys space planning, furniture layouts, and fast-paced project work.This is a hands-on, execution-focused role where you'll work closely with internal teams and clients to deliver accurate, high-quality workplace solutions.
What You'll Do
- Create furniture layouts and space plans for office environments (private offices + support spaces)
- Produce accurate specifications and order documentation with minimal revisions
- Use AutoCAD and CET to develop layouts and make project updates
- Partner with internal teams (sales, PMs, installation) to deliver projects on time
- Work directly with clients to understand needs and provide design solutions
- Conduct field measurements and site verifications
- Assist in selecting furniture and ancillary products
- Prepare installation drawings and project documentation
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
What We're Looking For
6+ years of interior design or workplace design experience
Strong space planning and commercial office design experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD (CET experience is a plus)
Experience working with furniture layouts and specifications
Comfortable in a client-facing, high-interaction role
Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and execution
Nice to Have:
- Experience with contract furniture dealers or manufacturers
- Familiarity with Haworth or similar brands
- Experience with SketchUp or Project Spec

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
