Position Summary:

The Manager of National Fire Design is responsible for leading the team of National Fire Designers who create estimates, proposals, and system designs for Everons National and Commercial customers. This role ensures all operational goals are met and provides technical and design support for National and Commercial Sales and Operations. Position is responsible for managing a team providing system designs for National and Commercial Accounts; while continuing to perform designs 50% of the time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support team creating systems designs including Fire Alarms, Voice Evacuation, Smoke Control, Advanced Detection, Mass Notification Systems, Emergency Communication Systems, Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement Systems (ERCES/BDA/DAS), Area of Refuge (AOR), Gas Detection, Suppression or other systems as needed.

  • Identify new opportunities to improve operations infrastructure support and related service performance.

  • Manage to SLAs and due dates for all designs, monitor progress of designs vs. SLAs

  • Identify where the team needs improvement or adjusted priorities,

  • Assign designs requests as they come in to manage the design teams workload.

  • Evaluates and secure additional company certifications and partnerships as necessary.

  • Responsible for managing team of 25 Qualifications - External

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree (B.A.) or equivalent experience

  • 5-7 years related experience and/or training

  • 5-7 years management experience leading teams

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

  • NICET Fire Alarm Systems certification

  • NICET Special Hazards
