Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Men's Activewear Designer to join our design studio in iconic Midtown, NYC! This is a full-time, in-office position where you will work hand-in-hand with our Design Director to shape innovative, trend-driven men's activewear collections across our multi-brand portfolio. The ideal candidate has an eye for design, keen attention to detail, and is creatively talented. The Designer will combine a strong understanding of garment construction with the ability to translate design concepts into accurate, production-ready technical packages. Key Responsibilities Actively participate in the full product life cycle from design and development through handoff to technical design and production. With Design Director oversight, design and oversee specific product categories. Assist in researching and monitoring the consumer competitive marketplace to identify opportunities including inspiration trips and offsites, trend forecasting, and creating mood boards. Research emerging trends in men's activewear, including fabrics, trims, embellishments, prints, and graphics to develop seasonal collections. Present concepts to the Design Director, cross-functional team members, and accounts. Provide both creative and practical support: Design Development, PLM, Sketching/CADS, Tech Packaging as well as administrative duties (organization of trims and materials) as needed. Create, update and maintain detailed tech packs including technical sketches, construction details, and BOM details ensuring complete information for garment execution by the factory (including all needed layouts/ diagrams to illustrate garment information/ clarity). Collaborate with Product Development and Technical teams to ensure accurate fit, fabric, and construction details are communicated clearly. Attend and participate in fitting sessions with the Design Team: in partnership with technical design, ensure accurate note taking for specific updates, making revisions to sketches, and to corresponding design BOM's and tech packs. Partner with overseas vendors to ensure design integrity through production. Contribute to cross-functional collaboration to meet deadlines and seasonal calendars. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications You have 5+ Years of professional apparel design experience with a focus on men's apparel (activewear or performance preferred). You have strong knowledge of garment construction, trims, fabrics, and technical details. You have experience developing detailed tech packs and collaborating with overseas vendors. You have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. You are a strong team player with a flexible, solution-driven approach, and not afraid to take on tasks that appear above or beneath you. You have strong interpersonal communication skills for collaboration between cross-functional partners and communicate openly and easily. You are a self-starter capable of operating semi-autonomously but always collaboratively. You are efficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, google Docs and Excel on Mac You have a portfolio available to showcase your work.
