Our client, a leader in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a Design Engineer-HFC to join their team. As a Design Engineer-HFC, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various design projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and effective communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Design Engineer-HFC

Location: Waychester, NY (Hybrid)

Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000

What's the Job?

  • Oversee quality control for mapping and design projects, including network extensions and relocations.
  • Coordinate with in-house and contractor resources to complete network As-Builts based on field verification.
  • Manage projects through Metasolv and the construction portal while resolving software issues.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop new tools and enhance end-user software for improved production.
  • Support the transition of design processes to AI technology and assist in developing GIS definitions for network locations.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Engineering, Telecommunication, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
  • 2-5 years of demonstrated proficiency within GIS systems and understanding of mapping concepts.
  • Extensive knowledge of the cable industry and HFC design job types, including AutoCAD and Oracle.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with Spatialinfo, ARC GIS, or other GIS database software and hardware.
