Job Description We are seeking a Senior UX Designer with a strong background in visual design to join our Care Communications & Collaboration business located in Raleigh, NC. Our team creates medical solutions that enhance clinical communication, collaboration, and promote patient safety and satisfaction in the acute care hospital environment. The role involves working on a diverse range of products from embedded systems with custom-built hardware to mobile and SaaS-based solutions. Responsibilities
- Create user-friendly interface designs adhering to established UI design standards and practices, including W3C guidelines, Google Material Design guidelines, Apple Human Interface Guidelines, and Android Design Guidelines.
- Participate in customer interviews, interactions, and other user research to identify customer needs and wants.
- Create UI prototypes that may be used for testing or marketing purposes.
- Participate in usability research, including creating test plans and scripts, moderating usability test sessions, and writing final reports.
- Document user experience designs and specifications.
- Provide UX and design input to cross-functional teams, including recommendations for product and process improvements based on UX expertise and knowledge.
- Act independently with minimal supervision.
- Utilize project team engineering methodologies and tools to manage work and communicate across teams and specialties.
- A solid understanding of UX design principles.
- Advanced experience using UI design and prototyping tools, especially Figma, including creating and using components, variables, auto-layout, and themes.
- Passion for improving user experiences and ability to advocate on behalf of the user and UX best practices.
- Ability to explain and document UI designs and decisions both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to collaborate with other team members on design projects.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating and communicating with software development project teams.
- Ability to travel and meet hospital credentialing requirements.
- Desired experience with medical devices or other regulated disciplines.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Factors or related field, or equivalent experience, with three to five years of related work experience.
