Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our team! You will be working alongside a group of dedicated developers delivering quality software that directly supports our customers offensive cyber capabilities. You will help design, write, test, and debug software in support of this mission.

Quarterly travel for planning events and occasional travel to provide on-site support is expected. Must be located around the Washington DC Metro area / Augusta, GA / San Antonio, TX.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Designing and developing software as part of an agile team

  • Performing code reviews

  • Testing and debugging software

  • Participating in planning events

  • Periodically assist the customer remotely as well as on site with testing, troubleshooting, and debugging efforts

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • U.S. Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited institution with 5+ years of related professional experience

  • Programming experience using Java and/or Python

  • Experience delivering software solutions for government or commercial customers

  • Experience with containerization using Docker and/or Kubernetes

  • Familiarity and experience interfacing with SQL and no-SQL databases

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders and fellow professionals in technical discussions

  • Ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience using Kafka

  • Background or experience in cybersecurity

  • Knowledge of testing frameworks including Playwright

  • Familiarity with Go is a plus

  • Knowledge of Agile and SAFe methodologies
