Sales Account Executive – Golf Division

Spectrum has an immediate opening for a full-time Sales Account Coordinator within our Golf Division. The Coordinator’s daily activities support both the Department Management as well as our clients. This position will provide onsite event support as well as in-office event support and administration.  This position is ideal for an energetic and professional individual that does not mind wearing multiple hats and is able to multi-task at the highest level.  Being well organized and flexible are a big part of supporting this division. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Full-time schedule; hours may vary depending upon event schedules. On occasion, may require evening and weekend work hours. Extensive travel required based on seasonal schedule.  Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the division by managing current and potential PGA TOUR clients, and other customer base
  • Acts as a liaison with the department / team to ensure efficiencies and financial performance
  • Respond to all Request For Proposal inquiries, creatively  
  • Development and design of all menus according to Spectrum standards; collaboration with Executive Chef team
  • Understanding and development of financials and contracts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors and other Spectrum team members
  • Acts as a liaison with customers ensuring delivery of contracted services
  • Obtains feedback from clients and guests to improve operations / services
  • As requested, assist with onsite management of events
  • Attend any onsite walkthroughs with clients and other Spectrum team members; make necessary introductions
  • Respond and assist in any departmental guest service issues

Event Coordination and Preparation

  • Coordinate packing and shipping for on-site office and supplies needed
  • Production of communication materials – detailed contracts, correspondence
  • Be familiar with and enforce onsite health, sanitation, service and safety standards
  • Solicit quotes from various vendors on third party services such as linen rentals, florals, furniture, and other goods and services; special requests
  • Department reporting such as food and beverage inventory and usage reports
  • Assist in coordinating team members per tournament
  • Promote and mentor a people first work environment maximizing morale
  • Participate in pre-planning meetings and functions

Knowledge and Skills

  • Must have excellent organizational skills, be detail oriented and a multi-tasker
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point
  • Team player; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to evaluate food and beverage products without implying personal preference
  • Exhibits initiative, is a self-motivator and able to work autonomously in some instances

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Maintaining work load in a temporary office setting while managing current event
  • Lifting and carrying of necessary items for an event. Items generally weigh less than 50 lbs. each
  • Ability to attend scheduled events with significant travel; paid for by Spectrum
  • Flexibility with both office and event schedules
