At TEC Direct, the SMP wears many hats. He / she will assume the role of head planner, negotiator, and will lead a small team of buyers and assistants. You will also act as Account Executive and will act as a primary link between TEC Direct and our clients.
The ideal candidate is someone who has at least 4 to 5 years experience in planning and buying national and local DRTV (or general).
The SMP has responsibility for the project management of all media campaigns and insures our clients' goals are delivered on time and on budget. The SMP will design and deliver media plans. He / she will work closely with our clients and provide strategic, effective solutions.
The SMP will manage execution of approved media plans. The SMP will insure all campaign elements (media, creative, traffic, tracking, client reporting and post reports) are being executed properly.
He/she will maintain excellent relations with media vendors and stay on top of current trends, rates, and opportunities.
The SMP will be assigned several accounts and coordinate the activities of the support staff to deliver client goals.
The ideal candidate will:
Have the ability to lead, evaluate, and manage day-to-day client and agency needs
Have in depth knowledge of direct and general media planning and buying
Have the ability to provide strong strategic direction, develop objectives, strategies, and budgets to meet marketing needs
Keep well informed on all accounts to enable him / her to anticipate trouble or opportunities
Maintain favorable relationships and contacts with media vendors and clients
Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
